1. If you arrive in school dormitory directly from the airport without any stop, please report to the teachers as early as you can and submit your passport copies within 24 hours upon your arrival.
2. If you live in any friends’ home, please ask them to take you to the local police station for registration within 24 hours upon your arrival.
3. If you live in hotels when you come to China as the first stop, please confirm with the hotel receptionists that they do the registration on time.
4. If you choose to live outside: You have to do the registration in the local police station within 24 hours after you move in. Every time when you change your address, you have to do the registration again within 24 hours. If you move back to school dormitory, you have to inform the teachers and ask them to do the registration for you in school.

Renew passport and passport lose

If you have to renew your passport: Please renew your passport six month earlier before your passport expires. When you get the new passport, please do the registration again within 10 days.
If you lost your passport:
1. Report to the office as soon as you find your passport missing. (Before you report to the office, please double check it in case you forget to put it somewhere rather than really lost it.)
2. Go to the local police station to report your loss with your identification documents including passport copies, latest visa copies and the copies of JW202 form and the admission notice as well. In this case, we highly recommend you to always prepare the full copies of your passport.
3. Go to the visa office to register with the same documents which are mentioned above and get the corresponding proof so that you can get the new visa after you get your new passport later.
4. Contact your embassy and follow the procedures to apply for a new passport.
5. When you get the new passport, please bring you passport to the office as early as possible. There is a ten-day limitation for registration according to the Exit and Entry Administration Law in China. Any delay of the registration will lead to a law violation directly and in serious cases, you will be fined by the police.
